Incontinence underwear in 4XL to 8XL

Our largest men's brief goes to 8XL, the boxer brief to 6XL, and the women's full brief to 6XL in black, all measured on the waist, with the same capacity rating at every size. This page is for the man whose family cannot find "washable incontinence underwear for a large man", and for the woman who has been told the smallest size is XL or that plus sizes stop at 2XL. Sizes, how to measure, and where the range ends.

The complaints are consistent across the forums: "Sizing is at least two sizes too big!", "Where is everyone finding all these cute pullups in big sizes?!", "Size 20-22 disposable pants for post partum", "Does anyone have a recommendation for washable incontinence underwear for a large man?" (asked on a caregiver forum and never answered). Most washable brands stop at 2XL or 3XL, and most sizing charts are optimistic.

Why the panel matters more than the label at larger sizes

The two things to check at any larger size are the same two things that decide whether a pair works at all: does the absorbent zone sit where your leak arrives when you are sitting, and does the waterproof layer reach the leg edge, so a leak that spreads sideways stays inside? In our styles the waterproof layer runs to the leg edge at every size, and the capacity on the product page applies to every size of that style.

Waistband and leg elastic

Two complaints about larger sizes in other brands recur: the waistband rolls or droops ("Not made with strong enough elastic in the waist! The result is that they droop"), and the leg elastic either cuts in or gaps. A waistband that droops takes the absorbent panel with it. If a pair drops at the waist, it is one size too large, and the 60-Day Confidence Guarantee covers the exchange of the unworn rest.

How to measure

Waist, with a soft tape at the natural waistline, over bare skin or thin underwear, not over trousers, and not the number on a pair of trousers you have owned for years. Hips, around the fullest part with your feet together. Each product page has a size guide with the measurements for that style; the styles are not identical, so measure for the one you are buying. Between sizes, take the larger for comfort if you are between sizes on the waist, and the smaller if you are between sizes on the hips and want the panel snug.

Buying for a large man who will not measure himself

Measure a pair of underwear he wears, flat, across the waistband, and double it; that is his relaxed waist. Or take a pair to the shop to hold against the size chart. The buying for your dad page covers what to say and how to get a first pair into the drawer without a conversation.

Leggings, and whether it shows

"From the back, it looks like I'm wearing a damn diaper!!" is the fear that keeps women in pads under leggings. A sewn-in panel is thinner than a pad and cannot bunch, because it has no edges to bunch. The P14 is a high-waist panty; the W01 is a full brief with a smooth back; neither has a pad outline. At larger sizes the same is true.

What we do not have

Honesty about the edges of the range. The M65 brief with fly runs M to 2XL only; larger men who want a fly should choose the M96 boxer brief (to 6XL). The W01 full brief starts at L, and its 6XL exists in black only. The P14 panty and the SLK8036 boyshort stop at 4XL. If your size is not listed on a product page, it is not made yet. Tell us which size you need; the requests decide what we add next.

Common questions

Is there washable incontinence underwear for a large man?

Yes. The M66 brief runs XS to 8XL and the M96 boxer brief XS to 6XL, both measured on waist, with the same capacity rating and the waterproof layer to the leg edge at every size.

Do you make plus-size leak-proof underwear for women?

The W01 full brief runs L to 5XL, and to 6XL in black. The P14 panty and the SLK8036 boyshort run XS to 4XL.

Does the absorbent panel get thinner at larger sizes?

The capacity rating on each product page applies to every size of that style, and the waterproof layer runs to the leg edge at every size.

Will it show under leggings at a larger size?

No more than at a smaller one. A sewn-in panel is thinner than a pad and has no edges to bunch or outline. The P14 is a high-waist panty and the W01 a smooth full brief.

What if I am between sizes?

Between waist sizes, take the larger for comfort; between hip sizes, take the smaller so the panel sits snug. Each product page has the size guide for that style. Unworn pairs can be exchanged under the 60-Day Confidence Guarantee.

What if my size is not listed?

Then it is not made yet. Tell us which size you need; the sizes people ask for decide what we add.
